This document outlines the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy for the SMS (text message) communications from Sung Marin Tax Advisory LLP, doing business as SungMarin ("we," "us," or "our").

Please read these terms carefully. By providing your mobile phone number, you expressly consent to receive conversational, informational, and client support text messages from us.

Terms of Service

1. Purpose of Messaging We use SMS to communicate with our clients for essential business purposes. These messages are conversational and informational, not promotional. Examples include:

  • Appointment reminders and scheduling.

  • Requests for documents or information.

  • Updates on the status of your file or service.

  • Quick questions or clarifications from your accountant.

  • Notifications that a document is ready for your review or signature.

2. Your Consent (Opt-In) You consent to receive text messages from us when you:

  • Provide your mobile phone number on a new client intake form.

  • Verbally provide your mobile number to our staff for the purpose of communication.

  • Initiate a text message exchange with us from your mobile number.

By providing your number, you confirm that you are the authorized user of that mobile number.

3. How to Opt-Out You may opt-out of receiving text messages from us at any time. To stop receiving messages, reply STOP to any text you receive from us.

After you send the STOP message, we will send you one final reply message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. No further messages will be sent to your mobile number unless you re-initiate communication.

4. How to Get Help If you need assistance, reply HELP to any message you receive from us, or contact our main office at +1 925 962 2803.

5. Message Frequency Message frequency will vary based on your active services and communication with our team.

6. Message and Data Rates Message and data rates may apply. Please check with your mobile carrier (e.g., T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon) as you are responsible for any charges related to text messaging.

SMS Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect We collect and store the mobile phone number you provide to us and the content of your message history with our firm.

2. Use of Your Information Your mobile number is used exclusively for the purpose of communicating with you about your account and the professional services we are providing, as described in the Terms of Service.

3. Data Security We are a professional tax advisory firm and take data security very seriously. We use appropriate technical and administrative safeguards to protect your information. As text messaging is not a fully secure channel, we will never ask for or send highly sensitive Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as Social Security Numbers, bank account numbers, or full credit card details via text message.

4. Data Sharing and Privacy (A2P 10DLC Compliance) We will not share, sell, rent, or trade your mobile phone number or other personal information with any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

We will only share your information with our text messaging service providers as necessary to deliver the messages to you. This opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any other third party.
